Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient holoistic therapy with its roots in Yoga, Buddhism, Ayervedic and & Chinese Medicine!

No Massage or Yoga Experience Necessary!!

 

Join us for a FUN class for couples, yoga teachers or practiconers, massage therapist or if you are just curious about Thai Yoga Massage!

 

*Who Should Attend? This class is open to all interested students who would like to experience the joys of this dancing meditation.  No previous yoga or bodywork experience necessary.  Couples are especially encouraged to attend.  The class is designed to be fun and playful as well as educational.

 

*What to expect...FUN! Most of the class is Hands-On, meaning you will be giving and recieving Thai Massage throughout the afternoon.  First that basic techniques are explained, then a series of movements are shown.  Students pair up to practice on each other, with the instructor leading and supervising.  We work on floor mats and are on our knees a lot.  If you have any physical constraints, let the instructor know.

 

*Your Instructor: Rose Griscom is the director and lead instructor of the Institute of Thai Massage based in South Jersey and directly affiliated with ITM in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  She has been practicint and teaching Thai Massage for 10 years, and is one of the most experienced teachers in the country.  Her personal practice includes Hatha Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Vipassana Meditation.  She brings enthusiasm, joy and compassion to her classes!

 

*What to Bring: Either a Shiatsu style Futon or Thick Blankets to work on, a cover sheet and a pillow.

 

*What to Wear...loose comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement.  NO jeans, skirts, or short shorts...Please no revealing clothing! Finger and Toe nails trimmed short.  Wear Layers, as people get chilly when recieving, and warm while giving.
